Operated by Cargill Salt Company, the “Saliňa Pier” is a bulk salt loading facility 5 miles south of Kralendijk at 12°5’5” West.
Pier information: T-Head jetty with conveyor and semi-fixed sput for loading salt for Cargill.

Pilotage
For all ports in Bonaire pilotage is compulsory for vessels over 50 GRT. Service is rendered 24 hours a day on ordinary weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

The salt pier pilot station is located at 12°8’3” North and 68°17’4” West.
General Information
Largest vessel handled “Nelvana” 44,340 GRT / 74,973 DWT / 797’ LOA. Vessels warp along berthing line, any shore labour, tugs or launches used for warping are for vessel’s account. Holds to be clean, dry and free from rust sacle. Limewashing not always a charterer’s requirement and lime is available locally in limited quantities. No water or bunkers available at berth. Stowage factor coarse salt generally 30.3-32.7, fine salt 28.0-29.8. Only clean oceanic ballast water taken from at least 12 miles offshore permitted.
